The electrical and the systems industry is the most technical of all of the building trades. It requires a professional to manage and a professional to construct electrical and communication projects. The only way to become a professional is through training, education, and experience.

Our Mission is to offer independent electrical and communication contractors quality educational programs, information and services to help them excel in today's market.

IEC is a trade association made up of more than 3,200 merit shop electrical and systems contractors with over 70 chapters nationwide. Headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, IEC is dedicated to promoting the common interests of those engaging in the business of electrical and communications construction. IEC also works to initiate federal and state legislation that makes the electrical and communication industry safer and stronger.

The Mid-South IEC Chapter was formed in 1992 and is made up of over 110 members. The Mid-South IEC consistently views its members as its customers and always listening to what the customers needs are. With this positive mindset in place, the chapter has the ability to help our contractors, and our associate members, which is our customers, to become even more successful.
